What is the Express Entry Program?
Express Entry is a highly efficient and competitive immigration system used by the Canadian government to manage and process applications for permanent residence from skilled workers. Launched in 2015 by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Express Entry aims to attract talented individuals who can contribute to the Canadian economy and fill labor market gaps.
Express Entry encompasses three federal immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Additionally, it facilitates some portions of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), allowing provinces and territories to select candidates who meet their specific economic needs.
The Express Entry process begins with potential candidates creating an online profile, where they provide details about their skills, work experience, education, language proficiency in English or French, and other relevant information. These profiles are then entered into the Express Entry pool and ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS assigns points based on various factors, including age, education, work experience, language skills, and other adaptability factors.
Approximately every two weeks, IRCC conducts draws from the Express Entry pool, inviting the highest-ranked candidates to apply for permanent residence. Candidates who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence, including supporting documents and medical and police clearances. IRCC aims to process most Express Entry applications within six months, making it one of the fastest pathways to permanent residence in Canada.
Express Entry is a popular choice for skilled workers due to its streamlined process, transparency, and emphasis on attracting individuals who can integrate quickly and contribute to the Canadian economy. Candidates can improve their CRS scores by gaining additional work experience, enhancing their language proficiency, or obtaining a job offer or provincial nomination.

How Does the Express Entry Program Work?
Eligibility Assessment
The first step in the Express Entry process is determining your eligibility. Each program within Express Entry has specific requirements related to work experience, education, language proficiency, and other factors. Our consultants will help you assess your eligibility and choose the right program for you.
Creating an Express Entry Program
Eligible candidates create an Express Entry profile online. This profile includes information about your skills, work experience, language ability, education, and other personal details. You will also need to take an approved language test and, in most cases, get an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for your foreign education.
Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) Score
Your Express Entry profile is given a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on the information provided. The CRS score is a points-based system that ranks candidates according to various factors, such as age, education, work experience, and language skills. Additional points can be awarded for factors like Canadian work experience, provincial nominations, and valid job offers.
Receiving an Invitation to Apply(ITA)
Candidates with the highest CRS scores are issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency during regular draws from the Express Entry pool. If you receive an ITA, you have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence.
Application for Permanent Residence
After receiving an ITA, you must submit a comprehensive application, including supporting documents such as police certificates, medical exams, and proof of funds. Our consultants will assist you in preparing and submitting your application to ensure it is complete and meets all requirements.
Permanent Residency Approval
Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). You can then move to Canada and begin your new life as a permanent resident.
